As the other side of the Alabama-BSU student exchange, four Writers Community members–Layne Ransom, Jeremy Bauer, Elysia Smith, and myself (Tyler Gobble)–will be traveling to Alabama at the end of March. As part of this experience, we will be reading at The Slash Pine Poetry Festival and visiting the university. To help promote and raise funds for this trip, we have decided to hold a fundraiser on Kickstarter. Here is the page. For this, we will be creating chapbooks, broadsides, and eventually videos. Any support, whether it be promotional or financial, is greatly appreciated. Feel free to message me at tlgobble(at)bsu(dot)edu with any questions or concerns. Thank you in advance for your support.

Jeremy, Cody, and myself, along with two other awesome local writers, are reading at Village Green Records this Thursday at 9 pm. Be a good pal and come out.
Tonight, there is a second reading on campus called the Ricki Lake Reading, featuring our own Jeremy and Ryan, at 7:15 pm in HP100. Those guys are everywhere.
Because of the two readings tonight featuring several of our members, we are not meeting tonight.
Also, the Creative Writing in the Community reading for the Creative Writing Department is this Thursday at 6:30 pm at Cornerstone Center for the Arts.
Tonight, two of our members (Ryan Rader and Jeremy Bauer) are reading for the Movement and Language: A Performance-art based Poetry and Prose Reading at the BSU Honors House at 7:30 pm tonight.
Tomorrow, another Ball State writing organization, Poetic Summit, is hosting an open mic night at 8 pm in the Student Center Terrace Lounge.
Next Monday, campus organization Free the Slaves is hosting a Coffee/Poetry party, featuring WC members Ashley Ford, Luke Boggess, and Daniel Travis, at 8 pm in CP 188.
I should be at these events. I know several other members are planning to go as well. I hope to see you there and there and there and there.
